Our school underwent its last Ofsted Inspection in April 2016 when we were judged to be good overall.

Some comments from the report were as follows:

  • The headteacher provides strong and effective leadership.
  • Teaching, learning and assessment are good across the school.
  • All pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, and pupils who have special educational needs or disability, make good progress from their starting points.
  • Children in the early years make good progress and successfully develop their ability to learn.
  • Pupils are polite, well behaved and appreciative of the many opportunities that the school offers. They feel safe in school and know how to keep themselves safe in a range of situations.
  • Provision for pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is very effective.

Religious Education Inspection

Our last Religious Inspection, carried out under Section 48 of the Education Act, was in April 2016.

The report concluded that we were a good school overall with outstanding elements.

Some comments from the report were as follows:

  • Leadership and management of the school are strong, at both senior and departmental levels.
  • The school is committed to the development of the whole child, and at the same time to the support and enrichment of their families and the wider parish community where possible.
  • The links between the church, the community and the school are very valuable, and reflect the inclusive nature and popularity of Our Lady’s.
  • The Catholic life of the school is very strong, supportive and inclusive of all.
