New Staff Joining September 2020

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs Worrall and I’m thrilled to be joining Our Lady’s in September.  I have taught for many years across a range of age groups and, having grown up locally within the parish, I am looking forward to working with you and your children to make this an exciting and flourishing start to the children’s learning journey here at school.

Some of my favourite children’s books include: We’re going on a Bear Hunt, The Rainbow Fish, Giraffes Can’t Dance and the Hairy Maclary adventures so am looking forward to sharing these and many more with your children.

When not teaching I love to relax watching a good film and enjoy going to the cinema when I can.  I also enjoy short breaks, both in the U.K and abroad, visiting different towns and cities and even lived and taught in Spain for a short while.

I believe that what pupils are exposed to and develop when they are in  Early Years can have an enormous impact for their future and I aim to instil the belief that they can achieve anything they aim to and, working together, we can guide them along that path.

Hello, my name is Miss Murrell and I am going to be your child’s Year 3 class teacher in September. The children will remember me from Year 2, as I worked very closely with them through the year. I am excited to be continuing to work with you over the next school year.

Before teaching, I worked within Birmingham City Council’s legal department, and a selection of solicitors within Birmingham City Centre. I graduated from university with my Law Degree in 2014, before going on to obtain two postgraduate diplomas in Law and Legal Practice.

I completed my teacher training through the Schools Direct programme with South Birmingham School Centred Initial Teacher Training, gaining my PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mrs Rew and I’m very excited to be joining Our Lady’s in September. I’ve found out lots about how great the school is and am looking forward to becoming a part of your community.

I have worked in different schools with pupils of all ages from Year 1 right up to Year 13 and love seeing them progress as they grow and mature.

My real passion is for art and craft; I can lose myself for hours painting and creating things. I used to be a Graphic Designer and still love taking photographs and altering them in Photoshop. Additionally, I love trying out new things and being outdoors, especially walking and cycling, which I combine with discovering new places. One unusual thing I did was to go ‘weaseling’ on Dartmoor! I’ve been lucky to visit lots of great places in Britain and abroad but there are many more I’d like to experience.

To really relax I usually turn to a good book or watch a film. I am currently reading a fictionalised account of the Tudor queens, but I equally love Marvel!
