As the oldest children in Key Stage 1, we try very hard to set a good example to the younger children. We are a busy class where lots of creative and fun learning takes place, through topic work and subject specific lessons. We are always encouraged to be happy, work hard and treat each other with kindness as Jesus taught us.
At the end of Year 2 we take part in the KS1 SATs, where we get the chance to show how much we have learnt. We practise for these assessments as part of our normal lessons and, as a result, should not find the assessments a worry.
Homework is important in Year 2. Each week homework will typically include either a piece of English, Maths or Science work, spelling and reading.
All of these activities help us to develop our sense of responsibility and independence as learners.
