Daily Prayers and R.E Resources
Power of Kindness Calendar from the Red Cross.
As the UK faces a global coronavirus pandemic, things can feel a little uncertain and even overwhelming. But, during these difficult times, one thing is clear: small acts of kindness make a big difference.
The power of kindness calendar helps children learn about and carry out kind acts. Children will need to think of kind acts they can do during the month and add them to the blank calendar. For example, they could be more helpful at home, write to a relative or think about how they can safely help someone in the community. The activities can be carried out individually or together as a family.
Please complete this activity and email a copy to your teacher so they can share the best calendars on the website! Below you will find the calendar and ideas to help. Good Luck!
The Rededication of England as Mary’s Dowry
In 1381, England was dedicated to Mary by King Richard II and was 'set apart for her among the nations. This year, the Christians of England are called to make a personal dedication to Mary, taking up her example as Christ’s first disciple.
You are invitied to take part in the Rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary wherever you are. The Rededication Prayers will take place at noon, at the beginning of midday Mass which will be livestreamed from the Walsingham Shrine on Sunday 29th March 2020.
History shows us that when people pray a surrender to God’s will for their lives, society is transformed. By taking up this personal dedication in 2020, you can be a part of the renewal of this nation, drawing ourselves closer to the will of our loving God, through Mary.
