Once it has finished discuss with your child why they think they make the sign of the cross before they pray? 

Many may not realise that they are actually making a cross on their bodies so after this has been explained discuss the importance of the cross. We are reminded of the Holy Spirit eveytime we do the sign of the cross. 

 

With your child make your own cross out of everyday items such as sticks, bricks etc.
