Maths Enabling Enterprise Challenge Day
8 March 2018
On 8th March ten children from Year 4 along with Mrs Duffy and Mrs Carroll set of to take part in a maths based Enabling Enterprise challenge at a real place of work in Birmingham City Centre.
Over the course of the day the children worked in teams to advice the ‘Moony family’ about their finances and budget. They had to consider the money that they family had available and prioritise any expenditure that was needed. The children learnt that saving money is important as sometime additional expenses come up that they didn’t expect – like the Moony’s boiler breaking!
At the end of the day they presented their suggestions and advice to the Moony family. All the children worked hard to develop their eight challenge skills especially team work and problem solving.
