Read, learn and join in with rhymes, poems and songs on the theme of the weather. Make percussion instruments that make rain sounds. Make a simple rain stick using cardboard tubes and fillers such as dried peas, rice or pasta. Decorate the rain sticks using paint, ribbon or by wrapping in coloured papers. Play the rain sticks, exploring volume and intensity when playing individually and as a group. You could even use pots, pans and wooden spoons to make a super quick drum kit!
