In our last lesson we learnt about the call of the disciples (Simon, Andrew, James and John). Today’s lesson is about the call of another disciple, Matthew. What was the job of Matthew? Why was he unpopular with some of the Jewish people? Share with the children the story of Jesus having dinner in the tax collector’s house.
