The way we teach the children phonics at school is called read write inc. It follows a systematic approach that really helps the children revise sounds they know, learn new ones and help them form letters and words both verbally and written. Read write inc have now made available live online lessons on their youtube channel. I encourage everyone to follow these lessons live everyday just like we would be teaching them in class. Below is the timetable for when the videos are live and there is also a link for you to follow to the youtube page. Children in reception should follow either the set 1 or set 2 sounds. Have a go with your children and see which set best suits them.
