RE Lesson
Think carefully about what we have learnt about the call of the disciples in our last lessons.
Being one of Jesus’ disciples is a special job.
What were some of the things the disciples did with Jesus?
Can the children recall some of the reactions of the disciples? What does this tell us about the way Jesus shared his life with his friends?
What kind of people were the disciples? How would you describe them?
What did the disciples have to give up? Do you think that this was easy?
Activity: Create a “job web” for a disciple, saying the things they did.
What does disciple actually mean? A disciple is a follower of Jesus – so who else could be a disciple?
We could! How could we be disciples of Jesus? What is he asking us to do?
Activity: Draw pictures of you being a disciple of Jesus.
