Monday

Today's lesson is all about finding the total which will require children to use their addition skills. In the Autumn term, children will have practised lots of different strategies for addition: finding number bonds, partitioning, number line and column addition. I've uploaded a couple of Youtube videos below which should hopefully refresh the children's memories and enable you to support them with their maths this week.

Today's lesson is about two-step problems. This means that children will need to use addition and subtraction skills and will also need to work out which operations to use for each step of the problem. Talk through the problems with your child to support them.
