Reading task 1: Complete the character analysis sheet for a fictional story of your choice. Draw a picture of your chosen character in the middle. Think about what the book tells us to describe their appearance and actions (RETRIEVAL) and what the book doesn't tell us about their thoughts and feelings on the inside (INFERENCE).
Reading task 2: Reading your poem aloud with expression
Look carefully at the illustrations from the book 'Into the Forest' by Anthony Browne. Can you spot any hidden images in the background?- Use you inference skills to think about: What do you think the boy is thinking as he walks through the woods? Use your prediction skills to: Write what you think will happen on the next page.
