This week in school we will be informally assessing your child in class through a number of activities. Please take this opportunity to carry out the following task at home.  

Each week we encourage the children to write independently.  We expect children to spell words phonetically using the sounds they know and blending those sounds to spell words.  Below you will find a 'My News' sheet.  At the end of the week, ask your child to write a sentence/sentences about their week.  Ask them to read their writing to you (scribe if necessary) and draw a picture.
