• Year 3/4 Football Tournament

  On the 7th November, members of Year 3 and 4 travelled with Mr O’Shea and Mrs. Carroll to Sedgemere Power League to take part in a 7-a-side competition between other schools in our area.

  We were drawn in a group with Guardian Angels and Timberley B team. We played a total of 4 games in our group with the top 2 advancing to the Semi-Finals. Unfortunately Our Lady’s did not advance. However the boys and girls did the school proud with their performances, in particular Sean (Y4) who performed fantastic in goal before switching out the field in the last game where he scored two goals. Jayden (Y4) also impressed scoring three goals in the group including a cracking free kick that would not look out of place in Villa Park!

  Following the group stage we had an opportunity to play Top Cliffe in a friendly match. This was a very competivie match with Our Lady’s winning 6-3.

  Overall the children really enjoyed themselves and improved as the games went on especially the girls as it was some of their first ever game of football! Well Done to all involved.
